Dr. Donald Sanderson
Comments:
Best teacher I have ever had. It is so easy to learn with him because he makes things extremely interesting and everyone walks out of class learning the lesson without even realizing it.
He taught me the joy of microwaving PEEPS! Also he cares about the students and goes the extra mile to help them.ACM/UPE Outstanding Teacher Award 2009

What is the ACM?
"ACM is an educational and scientific society uniting the world's computing educators, researchers and professionals to inspire dialogue, share resources and address the field's challenges. ACM strengthens the profession's collective voice through strong leadership, promotion of the highest standards, and recognition of technical excellence. ACM supports the professional growth of its members by providing opportunities for life-long learning, career development, and professional networking." - ACM Fact Sheet
The ACM at ETSU is a student organization centered around all aspects of computing. We have regular meetings with many different activities: guest speakers, competitions, giveaways, lectures, help sessions, and much more. Occasionally, free pizza or other snacks are involved. We are always taking suggestions for new events too.
The ACM is a club open to all students with an interest in computers in any way, shape, or form. Becoming a member gives you access to thousands of tech-savvy resources on the internet, a group of friends sharing a common interest in computers, as well as the opportunity to make your voice heard in ETSU's computer science department. And, hey, it looks great on a resume. So, come check it out!
How can I join?
Come to an event (there is no obligation)! We can take care of everything once you come and see what we have to offer.
Joining the ACM includes a local chapter membership fee. This fee is either $6.00 a semester or $10.00 a year. Membership fees should be paid to ACM Faculty Advisors. These membership fees (dues) are used to help pay for the snacks, giveaways, and events for our public meetings.
You can also join the national ACM organization. The student dues for the national organization are $19 per year (paid directly to them) and come with an expanded list of membership benefits including your own @acm.org email address and access to online resources.
