The goal of the Local Goods site is to help connect local business and consumers and to promote regional commerce. Bill Pine's Software Engineering class began work on the project for the Appalachian RC & D Council, with oversight from the ETC. When the class was over, the ETC continued working on the Local Goods site. Artisans, craftspeople, entertainers, and service providers in northeast Tennessee can list their products on the site where others can search or browse for items of interest. The site was completed in Summer 2007 and is still maintained by the ETC.
