Albert Holtsclaw - Alumnus
- What is your favorite food? If your favorite food is not common to this locale, please describe it.
- My favorite local food is a probably the spicy pepper chicken at Yamatos. But just about anything from Amigos is a close second.
- Best movie you have seen lately:
- Conan O'Brien Can't Stop
- What is your hometown?
- Elizabethton, TN
- What is the best course on campus? Why do you think so?
- The best non-CS course that I had in undergrad was Golf. It was a cheap and easy way to get 6 months at the Greenbriar driving range.
- Favorite aspect of living at (or around) ETSU:
- The area around ETSU is a good blend of urban and rural. You can be in the middle of a concert or hiking deep in the woods with only a few minutes between the two.
- When you were 10, what did you want to be when you grew up? How about now?
- When I was 10, I probably wanted to be a professional video game player. But, I've always had a passion for computers and technology in general.
Now, I want to be more things than I have time to do: chef, teacher, programmer, traveler, politician, professional video game player (some dreams never die).
- What is the best book you have read lately?
- A Game of Thrones from the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin.
- What is your life philosophy?
- I think Conan O'Brien said it best: "Work Hard, Be Kind and Amazing Things Will Happen."
- What is the most unusual job you have ever held?
- I was a resident advisor for the ETSU Upward Bound program one year and had to deal with a swarm of high school students living together in the summer.
- If your life were made into a movie, who would play the main character?
- Someone once told me that I can look like Vincent D'onofrio in the right light. So, I'll go with him.
