- If you had to choose right now where you would spend the rest of your life, where would it be and what would you do there?
- A cabin high in the mountains. Which mountains? Doesn't really matter, but I like mountains with trees.
- What is the most unusual job you have ever held?
- I raised chickens in a psychology animal lab.
- Do you volunteer anywhere?
- Gray United Methodist Church and Cub Scouts
- Favorite indoor activity:
- Building stuff.
- When you were 10, what did you want to be when you grew up? How about now?
- At 10 I wanted to be an automotive designer or an architect. I'm too old to try either of those now. I would like to be a published fiction author now. Don't worry, I'm not about to quit my day job.
- If you could change one thing about ETSU or your time here, what would it be?
- I would like to be able to back into my parking space.
- All-time favorite book:
- The World According to Garp by John Irving. I read it when I was about 13 years old and I've wanted to be an author ever since.
- Why did you come to ETSU?
- My wife got a job teaching in business so I figured I might as well have a job too.
- What is the best book you have read lately?
- Anything by Carl Hiaasen.
- If your life were made into a movie, who would play the main character?
- Bruce Willis - I like his hair.
- Favorite aspect of living at (or around) ETSU:
- The mountains - they're beautiful
- Favorite local food source:
- Pizza Inn buffet!
- What is your primary mode of transportation?
- With son: 2005 Ford F350 Crew Cab Diesel.
Without son: 1986 Mustang GT Convertible.
- What is the biggest accomplishment in your life up to today?
- The fact that I haven't completely screwed up the wonderful son that God gave me...yet.
- Your greatest hidden talent:
- I can back up a 34' fifth wheel trailer
