ACM and Microsoft to Sponsor a Halo 3 Party
The campus chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery and Microsoft will host a Halo 3 Party on Friday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. in Nicks Hall, Room 110.
During the evening, there will be raffles for prizes, including Halo 3 and other Xbox 360 games.
Those in attendance can learn details about two Microsoft opportunities: Imagine Cup, a worldwide technology contest with challenges ranging from software design to algorithm programming, and XNA, a free game-development environment that can, with a minimal number of lines of code, create 3D games for PC and Xbox 360 use.
The event is organized by Adam Ogle, who was selected as a Microsoft Student Ambassador. The Microsoft website describes this honor as “a select group of undergraduate and graduate students in technical majors who share two passions—a passion for software development and a passion for sharing their knowledge with other students.”
