What surprised you the most when you first came to ETSU? When I *first* came to ESTU? That would have been many years ago as an undergraduate. Assuming that this really means "when I started working at ETSU", then it was probably how many students actually seemed concerned about learning when compared to those I had worked with in the K-12 schools.
Do you participate in any sports? When I have time, which doesn't seem to be very often, I play golf.
What is your favorite bumper sticker? There are 10 kinds of people in the world - those who understand binary
and those who don't.
What is the most unusual job you've ever held? Census taker.
Best cup of coffee in town: Coffee is akin to dirty dish water, so it really doesn't matter where you get it!
Best glass of sweet tea in town: Poor Richards Deli is probably best, but there are several others that are very good too.
Are you an organ donor? Why? Nope. Why not? Simple, because you can't actually be totally and completely dead for them to take your organs!
Favorite local food source: Amigo Mexican Restaurant... fast, tasty and cheap!
What is your favorite food? If your favorite food is not common to this locale, please tell describe it. I'd have to say meat - beef, pork, chicken, seafood, or pretty much any meat. It can be baked, grilled, barbecued, or prepared in any number of ways. Yes, beautiful, glorious, wonderful, marvelous meat! :-)
How long have you been at ETSU? This time, six years. The grand total would be something like 14 years though.
What is your favorite guilty pleasure? Did you see my answer about food? ;-)
The best way to spend a free afternoon in the Tri-Cities area is: Right this minute I'd say hiking. There are lots of beautiful places in the area, if only there were more free afternoons to see them.
When you were 10, what did you want to be when you grew up? How about now? I didn't know then.
